Ticket collection & Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you for buying tickets for the Founders’ Day Spring Fair.

How do I collect my tickets?

You will collect your tickets from tables at the front of Woodland Heights (the zebra crossing), from 4pm on Friday.  Each order will be in a named envelope, containing wrist bands and raffle tickets.  T-shirts have already been delivered.

  • pre-payment by EFT:  if you paid by EFT by Wednesday, you will be able to collect your tickets and walk straight in.
  • payment on arrival:  please queue at the table to pay by SnapScan, credit card or cash*.
    • *We are trying to limit the amount of cash on site for security reasons.

If you require extra Full Access Tickets or Raffle Tickets, these can be bought at the Fair with SnapScan, credit card or cash.

Please note:  pre-payment has now closed so that we can reconcile payments with tickets.

How do I get into the Spring Fair?

Access to the Fair is via the side gate of Woodland Heights.  Enter from the ‘dustbowl’ parking, arriving at the zebra crossing.  Please note that the steps are rather uneven.  The driveway gates will be closed.

Please park carefully in the dustbowl and the surrounding streets.  We have forewarned the neighbours but please try not to block access.  Please be careful of pedestrians walking in the dark.  ADT Security will be patrolling and assisting.

How do I get a refund if I can not attend on the new date, 1st November?

All requests for refunds will be collected and addressed after the Fair.  Please email tickets@ISCT.co.za with all relevant details.

Frequently asked questions:

Q:  Where do I collect my pre-paid raffle tickets?  They will be in your named envelope.  Be sure to write your name and contact details on every ticket and post them into the barrel on the middle tier.

Q:  What if my family is arriving at different times?  Answer:  please take the tickets you need and leave the envelope on the table with the tickets for the family members arriving later.

Q: If I selected to pay on delivery but now I would like to pay by EFT, is this possible?  Answer:  Yes, please make EFT payment using your reference number and send Proof of Payment to ticketsEFT@isct.co.za.

Q: Can ISCT staff collect their tickets early?  Answer:  we will try to make this possible on Friday for pre-paid tickets.  Tickets will be in envelopes marked by name and will not be identified as staff.

Q:  Do I need to bring cash?  Answer:  we are trying to keep the event as ‘cash-lite’ as possible, however the Year 8 market place is using cash-only.  All other purchases can be made by SnapScan or credit card, including food trucks, raffle tickets, market vendors and Year 11.

Q:  How do pay by SnapScan?  Answer:  download the app to your phone.  You will be asked to enter your credit card details and authorise the account;  do this in advance of the Fair on your secure home connection.  Every stall will have a QR code which you scan with your phone using the app.

Q:  does my Full Access Ticket include everything?  Answer:  a Full Access Ticket includes all entertainment and sporting events.  You will need to pay for raffle tickets, food and shopping.

Q:  What do we do in an emergency?  Answer:  There will be a main information desk on the middle tier where you can get medical assistance, find lost children, or report any problems.  Please point this out to your children on arrival.  We have a roster of qualified doctors on site to deal with any cuts and bruises.

Q:  Will there be security at the Fair?  Answer:  Yes, ADT are providing 6 additional security officers plus a patrol car, for the front gate and monitoring the perimeters.  ADT provides the school security and are supporting the event at no additional cost, for which we are very grateful.

Q:  Where are the toilets?  Answer:  Six “luxury” portaloos will be parked on the front car park, by the entrance gate.  The school toilets in the dungeon will be open.

Q:  What happens if it rains (again!)?  Answer:  The Fair will go ahead.  Think of preparing for rain as part of the British curriculum that ISCT offers.  We are now offering A-level standard preparations!

Q:  What happens if there is load-shedding?  Answer:  The Fair will go ahead.  Most electricity for the Fair is being powered by on-site generators.  If there is loadshedding on Friday 1st Nov for zone 5 (Newlands including ISCT),  only Level 4 would cause a power loss during the hours of the fair.

Q:  Will there be a discount at the gate?  Answer:  No, tickets will be full price.

Q:  how does the raffle work?   Tickets for two raffles are on sale online and during the Fair:  the Treasure Chests raffle (R25) with 9 prizes aimed at kids, and the Grand Raffle (R100), with over 40 prizes ranging from R10,000 holiday vouchers to driving an Audi car of your choice for the weekend.  Tickets will be drawn throughout the evening – see the programme here.  Ensure your name and telephone number are written on the ticket stub;  any un-named tickets will not be reserved but rather opened up to an Instant Auction.  It is also an option for winners to donate their prizes to the Instant Auction, perhaps negotiating a share of the value achieved.

Q:  What is the Instant Auction?  Answer:  In the Instant Auction you will be able to bid against your friends to secure the prize for yourself.  The highest bidder will take home the prize.  Prizes won by an un-named raffle ticket will automatically be entered in to the Instant Auction.  It is also an option for winners to donate their prizes to the Instant Auction, perhaps negotiating a share of the value achieved.  The Instant Auction is a fun way to generate even more funds for our Field of Dreams.
